I originally found this cake box cookie recipe back in my teens and they’re absolutely DE-LISH. Super soft, chewy, and so easy to make! Oh, and since the recipe works for any cake box flavor, you can literally create endless flavor combinations! To start, you’ll need just 3 ingredients:
Cake Mix Cookie Ingredients
Cake mix of your choice
Vegetable or canola oil
Eggs
Optional: cookie mix-ins (eg. m&m candies, white chocolate chips, nuts, etc.)
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper
Use a cookie scoop to portion cookies onto baking sheet

Once tray is filled, bake for out 10-12 minutes, until edges are slightly golden
Allow to cool and enjoy!
Cake Mix Cookie Flavor Combinations
Okay, I know I said that these were 3-ingredient cake mix cookies, but you’ll probably want to add in another ingredient (or 2 or 3!) to spruce these cookies up (though, they taste perfectly good all on their own!) Here’s a few combinations you might like, below!
Chocolate cake – peanut butter chips – peanuts⠀
Carrot cake – white chocolate chips – walnuts⠀
Strawberry cake – mini chocolate chips
White cake – M&Ms⠀
Red velvet cake – white chips⠀
Spice cake – cinnamon chips – pecans⠀⠀

3-Ingredient Cake Mix Cookies
Ingredients
- 1 box cake mix flavor of your choice
- 1/2 c. vegetable or canola oil
- 2 eggs
- Optional: cookie mix-ins eg. m&m candies, white chocolate chips, nuts, etc.
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350-degrees
- In a medium-sized bowl, dump the cake mix, oil and eggs; mix until combined
- Stir in your favorite toppings
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper
- Use a cookie scoop to portion cookies onto baking sheet
- Once tray is filled, bake for out 10-12 minutes, until edges are slightly golden
- Allow to cool and enjoy!
